For many of MS patients, chiropractic care offers relief and a better quality of life. Chiropractors all over the world have helped many, many people suffering from multiple sclerosis, including a famous advocate for multiple sclerosis, Montel Williams.
Multiple sclerosis is a varied and complex neurologic disease and though we cannot promise to help every MS patient, here in the greater Sacramento and Rancho Cordova area we have been able to positively affect the lives of many people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. We are honored to be of chiropractic service to our MS patients.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Twin Pregnancy
I came to Capitol Chiropractic several years ago for relief from the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for several reasons. I had given up on neurologists and their treatments. I had developed a phobia about the weekly immune-supressant injections I was taking and was unable to inject myself so I was having to visit my primary care clinic weekly to have them inject me. I was also recently married and hoping to become pregnant and I did not want to be taking these medications if I got pregnant (since, no suprise, none of them have been tested on pregnant women).
I had numbness in my hands and feet and aches in my back. My husband and I were immediately impressed with Dr. Jeri’s office and the upbeat positive environment. We attended the introductory classes. I started seeing Dr. Jeri weekly. I no longer have the numbness in my hands or the ache in my back and the numbness in my feet, while still there, is under control.
While I still take a food-based dietary supplement specifically for the MS, I have avoided having to take medicine.
Then I became pregnant with twins! Dr. Jeri helped with the aches of pregnancy. As an extra-pregnant mom-to-be the staff treated me very well and I was able to go straight to the treatment room as soon as I arrived. Since I was in good shape thanks to the tretments during my pregnancy, I was able to have a double natural birth, avoiding a debilitating C-section and avoiding anesthesia.
Compassionate Help For Multiple Sclerosis
My condition is long story of foggy thinking, food addictions/allergies, and depression that culminated last April with a trip to the emergency room and a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Pain associated with a tight neck (due to too many headers in soccer) and minor scoliosis also played its part in my struggle.
My life was filled with poor concentration/decision making, extreme exhaustion and depression. My back/neck pain (which led to knee pain) kept me from running. I tried avoiding my symptoms (which, by the way, only made them worse).
After I was diagnosed, I was very scared, uninsured and seeking help. I went to other doctors but none were willing to help because I was uninsured. I found the Capitol Chiropractic web site and knew that I would connect with Dr. Jeri. She was the only doctor who was willing to do anything to help.
As a result of my chiropractic care at Capitol Chiropractic, I am now able to stay awake all day and for the first time in my life am thinking clearly. My neck moves much more freely (especially after an adjustment.) And best of all I also have a much clearer sense of self and am much more sure of positive outcomes.
What I like best about Capitol Chiropractic is the positive and professional environment. Dr. Jeri is an amazing woman, whose compassion and knowledge have helped turned on a powerful inner healing power. Thank you to you and all of your caring and professional staff.
Help For Charcot Marie Tooth Disease
“I have Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, a genetic neurological disorder that affects my muscle strength, function, and balance. When I walk, my feet drop causing me to lift my legs higher to walk without tripping. Before my Chiropractic care with Capital Chiropractic I fell on a regular basis, sometimes weekly. Although I had no pain, my balance was seriously affected. I have always used Chiropractic care, and seeing a neurologist brought no satisfaction. There was not any treatment or current medication for CMT. A nurse where my husband worked referred us to Dr. Jeri. She received treatment there and was very pleased with her results. I have been seeing Dr. Jeri for a year and a half. In that time I have felt centered and balanced. I am able to walk without watching my feet. Having that balance back has added a wonderful dimension to my life…mobility. I am eternally grateful for this. I have not fallen in months and months. I never imagined that I would feel so centered.”
